What the Site is

KitnaKaafi is a set of educational post-tax calculators for Indian investors. It answers illustrative “what if” questions using standard, publicly-documented formulas and current statutory rates.

What the Site is not

• Not investment advice. KitnaKaafi does not provide personalised recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any specific security, fund, or scheme. It is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst.
• Not a broker or intermediary. KitnaKaafi does not execute trades, hold your money, or connect to any brokerage or bank.
• Not a tax adviser. All tax computations assume you correctly identified your slab, holding period, and instrument classification. For personal tax filing, consult a Chartered Accountant.
• Not an insurance adviser. Cover-adequacy conversations (in Intelligent Mode's pillars) use rule-of-thumb benchmarks, not IRDAI-regulated insurance suitability advice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for anything illegal under Indian law,
• attempt to interfere with the availability of the Site (scraping at abusive rates, denial-of-service, etc.),
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from binaries or minified assets served by the Site,
• impersonate KitnaKaafi or misrepresent your relationship with it,
• abuse the contact form or newsletter endpoints (see the rate-limit protections detailed in the privacy notice).

If you find a security issue, please use the responsible disclosure process — good-faith research is welcome and appreciated.

Accuracy of numbers

We take engine correctness seriously — every calculator ships with an automated test suite that pins expected values against reference numbers from Indian tax law and industry-quoted benchmarks. But financial regulations change, market conditions change, and your specific situation carries variables the calculator can't know about. Verify with a licensed professional before making a real decision. KitnaKaafi disclaims liability for decisions taken purely on the basis of calculator output.

AI-generated explanations

Where the Site offers an optional AI feature that narrates or explains a projection, its output is illustrative and may be wrong. It is generated by a language model, is not investment advice, and is not a substitute for guidance from a licensed professional. Do not act on an AI explanation without checking it against the underlying numbers and, for a real decision, consulting a SEBI-registered investment adviser.

Intellectual property

The Site's copy, calculator UX, engine implementations, and brand assets are the intellectual property of the operator, made available for personal, non-commercial use. Educational quotation with attribution is fine. Wholesale copying of the engine or copy for a competing service is not.

Third-party services

The Site is hosted on Vercel, sends email via Brevo, and rate-limits POST endpoints via Upstash. See the privacy notice for what each processor sees and how long they retain it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site evolves or as regulations change. Material changes will be dated in the “Effective” line at the top. Continued use of the Site after a material change constitutes acceptance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, the operator's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site is limited to the amount you have paid for the Site — which is zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, in cases of fraud or wilful misconduct).

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
